I must be doing something wrong, but how do I set my phone so it tells me when I have a new voice mail? I have to check my voice mail every few hours to find out.

Thanks,

The status bar at the top of the screen contains icons that tell you about messages and phone status. To view your notifications, touch the status bar and drag it down.

My phone does not show when I have a voice mail. It does tell me when I have an update for an app, missed call but not when I have a voice mail. That is my problem.

You only said you didn't get any notification for your VM and not that you aren't getting APP updates.  Are you talking about the APP you downloaded from the Market?  Now, this is very very important - did you do anything to your Droid (i.e., root, etc.) that was out of the ordinary?  How long have you had your Droid?

Sorry if I was not clear. Well I have had my droid for a couple of months. I do get notification of any app updates, missed calls and so forth. But it never tells me when I have a voice mail message. Just have to keep calling my voice to see if I have any.

No - I just re-read it and you did say you were getting notification.  I did another search and a few user's also complained about not seeing the "cassette."  I just don't know what your problem could be...worse case, you might consider resetting your Droid and see if it works after that.

Ok guess that is what I am going to have to try. Now if I do a re-set do I lose apps, or anything else?

Based on everything I've read - all applications you downloaded (from Market) should reload.  If not - you will have to download them again.  So, make sure you record all the application you downloaded to be safe.  If it is an application you paid for - it will know.  Everything you have up on GMail (i.e., contacts, etc.) will automatically load as well.

Well went to Verizon to see what was going on with this. Of course it was something easy that I goofed on. All I had to do was go into my personal options and turn notification on.  Huh?
