Oh, you aren't talking about the "cosmetic" portion you are talking about changing the actual User Interface (Menu Navigation) on the Droid.  That would require messing with the ROM (flashing).   While I must admit - Motorola has the absolute worse UI - I wasn't able to find anyone on the net with a solution for changing (or tweaking) the UI.
